Reflexology- Intensive! 32 CE Hours for Massage; open to non-bodyworkers
Reflexology
is the study, science and art of using various touch techniques on
specific points of the feet, hands and ears to promote a deep sense of
relaxation and to support the natural healing properties of the body.
It is based upon the premise that these reflex points correspond to
organs and glands in the body and, when stimulated, produce therapeutic
results throughout the body. Through lectures, reading assignments,
demonstrations, and practice, students will learn basic information
about Reflexology and its history, and the techniques of finger- and
thumb-walking. Upon completion of this introductory training course,
students are able to practice Reflexology on the feet of family and
friends.
Held from 8:30 am - 5:30 pm $495 plus bring Ann

| Ten Zo - 7 CE Hours for massage Ten Zo translates to three heavens. The three heavens are Thai massage, Shiatsu and Swedish Massage. For clients who are uncomfortable removing their clothes for a massage treatment, or who cannot get down on the floor to receive a shiatsu treatment on a futon, Ten Zo is the answer. Ten Zo is a treatment given to a fully-clothed client on a massage table. It uses Western concepts such as a knowledge of anatomy, the ability to palpate muscle tension, and techniques from massage therapy. The Eastern concepts of qi/ki kyo and jitsu are incorporated along with techniques from shiatsu. To elongate muscles, stretches for the arms, legs and back from Thai massage complete the treatment.
Due to the nature of the stretches used, loose-fitting pants (elastic waist or drawstring) and a loose-fitting top are necessary. A comprehensive, easy-to-follow workbook accompanies this workshop. Held from 9 - 5 $130 | TBA | Hand Reflexology - 14 CE Hours for massage and reflexology; an introduction to reflexology a pre-requiste Our hands represent one of the most mechanically complex structures of the body. We use them to express most of what we do and say. Additionally, the hands also have a sophisticated system of reflexes that relate to all parts of the body. By understanding and working these specific points, Hand Reflexology helps to balance and bring harmonizing energy to the entire system. This course is designed to show how to use this fascinating system of alternating pressure points. Learn to take better care of your hands and help alleviate symptoms of computer stress and strain. In addition, Hand Reflexology can be used when working on the feet is impractical or not possible. A comprehensive, easy-to-follow workbook accompanies this workshop. Held 8:30- 12:00 $240 | TBA
